Keep in mind that neither Social Security nor the Veterans Administration is bound by a decision of the other agency.
However, if you are found disabled by the Social Security Administration based on your service-connected disabilities then this is good evidence to prove you are entitled to individual unemployability from the VA (known as TDIU).
Likewise, if the VA finds that you are unemployable, this can also be used as evidence to show that you are disabled for Social Security Disability benefits.
Therefore, even if neither agency is bound by the decision of the other, a favorable determination by either agency can be helpful to prove disability to the other agency. The experienced attorneys at Sackett and Herrera handle both Veterans Compensation and Social Security Disability claims.
